Frequent Questions

Q. Do I have to be Lutheran for my child to attend Beautiful Savior Lutheran School?
A. No, however we would like you to have an interest in hearing what Beautiful Savior teaches. Our enrollment is first open to members of Beautiful Savior, second to members of other WELS (Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod) congregations, third to those who have no church affiliation, and fourth to those who have strong affiliations to other church bodies. If your child does attend Beautiful Savior, we ask that you would attend the Adult Information Class on what God's Word and Beautiful Savior teaches.

Q. What are your school hours?
A. We begin each day at 8:15 AM with God's Word and end the day with prayer at 3:15 PM.

Q. Do you offer transportation?
A. No. However, all public school districts provide financial reimbursement in lieu of transportation to parents. The reimbursement amount is equal to the per child allowance given to each school district from the state. Please contact your local school district to determine what is the actual amount for your area.

Q. Do you offer before or after school care?
A. Yes, we open the doors for extended hours in the morning at 7:00 AM. The classroom doors are then open for all students at 8:00 AM. After school care begins at 3:30 PM and ends at 5:00 PM.

Q. Do you offer extracurricular activities?
A. Yes, we offer several extracurricular activities including sports (basketball, volleyball, track, cross-country), singing opportunities with chorus, and instrumental lessons with musical performances throughout the year.

Q. Do you offer school lunches?
A. We offer affordable, healthy, hot lunches every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Meals are made on-site by our licensed staff and include a main dish, fruit and vegetables, and a nut-free dessert. Please speak with our principal if your child has specific food allergies so that accommodations can be made.

Q. What is your tuition?
A. Tuition for the current school year can be found below. Tuition payments are made through Digital Academy — the same site parents find grades, assignments, and school news. Payments can be made in up to 10 (monthly) installments. There is a non-refundable application fee at the time you submit your child's application for enrollment.

Q. What kind of financial assistance is available?
A. Beautiful Savior participates in the Ohio EdChoice Scholarship Program, which pays up to the full year's tuition for our students in grades K-8. We also offer financial assistance for PreK-8th grade students through The Lutheran Scholarship Granting Organization of Ohio. Applications are processed through TADS and reviewed by the Board Of Education on a yearly basis.
